Mission Profile

Resurs-P No.1 is a Russian high-resolution Earth observation satellite launched on 25 June 2013 aboard a Soyuz-2.1b rocket from Baikonur Cosmodrome, operated by Roscosmos for land use monitoring, environmental assessment, and emergency situation tracking. The satellite carries the Geoton-L1 hyperspectral imaging system capable of delivering sub-meter resolution imagery across a wide spectral range for agriculture, forestry, and geological mapping applications. Resurs-P No.1 was the first satellite in the upgraded Resurs-P series, incorporating improved imaging technology over the earlier Resurs-DK series. Two additional Resurs-P satellites were subsequently launched to form a constellation providing more frequent revisit coverage.
