Mission Profile
The Soyuz-2.1b (14A14) is a three-stage Russian launch vehicle in the R-7 family, featuring a modernised digital flight control system and an upgraded RD-0124 second-stage engine over the earlier Soyuz-2.1a. Standing 46.3 m tall with a 3 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 312 tonnes, it generates 4,150 kN of first-stage thrust and can deliver 8,200 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in December 2006, the Soyuz-2.1b has become one of Russia's primary workhorses for government, military, and commercial satellite launches.
