Japanese Space Station Module (Mitsui concept) is a proposed commercial space station habitat module under development by Mitsui & Co. in Japan, targeting the late 2020s to early 2030s as part of Japan's strategy to develop commercial low Earth orbit infrastructure. The concept envisions a pressurized laboratory and habitation module that could operate as an independent station or connect with other commercial station concepts, serving as a platform for Japanese government and private sector research in the microgravity environment. The initiative represents Japan's response to the anticipated transition from the ISS to commercially operated low Earth orbit destinations.
