Mission Profile

B330 (Nautilus Space Complex Module, BA-330) is Bigelow Aerospace's inflatable space station module concept, designed to launch compactly inside a rocket fairing and expand to 330 cubic meters of pressurized volume — roughly equivalent to one-third of the ISS's total habitable space — after deployment. The module uses Bigelow's MMOD (Micrometeorite and Orbital Debris) protection system, which tests demonstrated may outperform traditional rigid aluminum structures for debris protection. Bigelow completed a prototype module (BEAM) tested aboard the ISS from 2016 onward, but the full B330 was never financed for production before Bigelow Aerospace suspended operations in 2020 due to the pandemic.
