Mission Profile

The Falcon Heavy (Block 5) (FH Block 5) is a two-stage American heavy-lift launch vehicle in the Falcon 9 family, the fully upgraded production variant using three Falcon 9 Block 5 first-stage cores with maximum reusability features. Standing 70 m tall with a 3.7 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 1,421 tonnes, it generates 22,819 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 63,800 kg to low Earth orbit or 26,700 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in April 2019, the Falcon Heavy Block 5 has become SpaceX's vehicle of choice for the heaviest US national security payloads and deep space missions, with routine recovery and reuse of all three booster cores.
