Mission Profile

OneWeb Dispenser refers to the satellite deployment hardware used to release OneWeb's broadband communications satellites en masse from their Soyuz and Arianespace launch vehicles, beginning with the first batch of six operational satellites launched in February 2019. OneWeb's constellation of hundreds of satellites in low Earth orbit aims to provide global broadband internet access, particularly to underserved regions and maritime and aviation users. The dispenser system enables multiple satellites to be deployed efficiently from a single launch, critical to the economics of building the constellation.
