H2SAT
🇩🇪Heinrich Hertz Satellite Mission
Mission Profile
H2SAT (Heinrich Hertz Satellite Mission) is a German communications technology demonstration satellite developed by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Airbus, designed to test advanced Ka-band and Q/V-band satellite communications technologies for future high-throughput satellite systems. The mission validates technologies for very-high-throughput commercial satellite broadband services, including advanced antenna systems, on-board digital signal processing, and flexible frequency reuse techniques. H2SAT represents Germany's initiative to maintain leadership in satellite communications technology and validates component technologies that will be incorporated into the next generation of European commercial communications satellites.
