Mission Profile

Voyager Station is a concept by the Gateway Foundation for a large rotating commercial space station designed to provide artificial gravity through centrifugal force, intended to serve as the world's first space hotel. The design envisions a massive torus-shaped structure approximately 200 meters in diameter, rotating to produce lunar gravity levels at its rim, with hotel accommodations, restaurants, and recreational facilities for paying tourists. The concept targets the mid-2030s for initial operations, though it faces enormous financial and engineering challenges that have led most space industry observers to view the timeline as highly optimistic. Voyager Station represents the most ambitious commercial space tourism concept yet proposed and has attracted significant media interest for its ambition to normalize orbital leisure travel.
