Mission Profile

The Kuaizhou 11 Transporter is the road-mobile launch system used for China's Kuaizhou 11 solid-fuel medium-lift rocket, enabling launch from any suitably reinforced road surface or designated launch area without requiring fixed launch pad infrastructure. The transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) vehicle carries the Kuaizhou 11 horizontally, drives to the launch site, erects the rocket to vertical, and provides the ground support systems for propellant loading (for the fourth-stage liquid propellant kick motor) and launch operations. This mobile architecture gives Kuaizhou 11 significant operational flexibility compared to liquid-propellant rockets requiring fixed pads, and the system made its first launch attempt in July 2020, though that mission failed due to an anomaly.
