AIT 250 Transporter
🇪🇺Mission Profile
The AIT-250 Transporter is the autonomous wheeled vehicle used at Europe's Guiana Space Centre (CSG) in Kourou, French Guiana to transport the assembled Ariane 6 rocket on its mobile launch table from the Launcher Integration Building (BIL) to the Ensemble de Lancement Ariane 6 (ELA-4) launch pad. The self-propelled transporter rolls the fully assembled Ariane 6 approximately 800 meters to the pad and positions it precisely over the blast trench and connection points, where the mobile launch table is lowered onto its support structures. The system represents the ground infrastructure evolution for Europe's new generation launcher and is a key element of the ELA-4 complex first used for Ariane 6's inaugural flight in July 2024.
