Mission Profile

The Delta II 7320-10 (Delta 7320-10) was a two-to-three-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, a lighter configuration with three GEM-40 solid rocket motors and a 10-foot fairing for moderate LEO payloads. Standing 38.9 m tall with a 2.4 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 172 tonnes, it generated 2,726 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 2,698 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in June 1999, the Delta II 7320-10 launched the FUSE ultraviolet astronomy satellite and other NASA scientific missions requiring moderate performance.
