Atlas F PTS (HGM-16F PTS) is a space launch configuration using the Atlas F ICBM booster with the Payload Test Section upper stage for deploying classified US military payloads to specific orbits. First flying on 14 July 1974, it extended the Atlas F's useful life beyond nuclear deterrence into dedicated government satellite launch service.
