Mission Profile
The Energia M (final design) (Energia-M, 14A020) was a proposed two-stage Soviet/Russian medium-to-heavy-lift launch vehicle concept in the Energia family, the refined final design using two Zenit-derived strap-on boosters and a core stage with a single RD-0120 engine. Standing approximately 48 m tall with a 7.7 m diameter and a projected liftoff mass of 1,023 tonnes, it would have generated 16,016 kN of liftoff thrust and delivered 34,000 kg to low Earth orbit. Conceived around 1991 under the Energia programme, the final Energia M design reached mockup stage but was cancelled with the post-Soviet budget collapse.
