Mission Profile

The HLVM3 (Human-Rated Launch Vehicle Mark-3, Gaganyaan Launch Vehicle, Gaganyaan-G1) is a planned three-stage Indian crew-rated launch vehicle in the LVM family, being developed to launch the Gaganyaan crewed spacecraft as India's first human spaceflight vehicle. With a planned first launch around mid-2026, the HLVM3 is a human-rated variant of the LVM3/GSLV Mk III with enhanced reliability systems and crew escape capability, representing a major milestone in India's space programme.
