Mission Profile
The Minotaur III (Peacekeeper TLV) was a proposed three-stage American solid-fuelled launch vehicle concept in the Peacekeeper family, using retired LGM-118 Peacekeeper ICBM motors for suborbital target launch vehicle missions. Standing 23.9 m tall with a 1.7 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 36.2 tonnes, it generated 1,600 kN of first-stage thrust. Conceived around 2024, the Minotaur III was designed for missile defence testing, launching target vehicles that simulate ballistic missile reentry trajectories.
