Mission Profile

The Atlas V Phase 2 (EELV Phase 2) was a proposed two-stage American launch vehicle concept in the Atlas family, an intermediate evolution of the Atlas V studied under early EELV programme planning for future growth. Standing approximately 58.3 m tall with a 3.8 m core diameter, it represented a planned upgrade path. Conceived around 2000, the Atlas V Phase 2 was part of the long-term EELV evolution roadmap but was not pursued as a distinct variant.
