Mission Profile

The Falcon 9 v1.2 Block 5 Crew Dragon (Falcon 9 Block 5 Crew, F9 B5 Crew) is a two-stage American crew-rated launch vehicle in the Falcon 9 family, the human-rated configuration of the Falcon 9 Block 5 developed under the Commercial Crew Program for delivering astronauts to the International Space Station. Standing 70 m tall with a 3.7 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 549 tonnes, it generates 7,607 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 22,800 kg to low Earth orbit or 8,300 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in March 2019 with the Crew Dragon Demo-1 uncrewed test flight, the Falcon 9 Block 5 Crew has become NASA's primary means of transporting astronauts to the ISS.
