Mission Profile

The Saturn V (2 stage) (Saturn V two-stage) was a two-stage American super-heavy launch vehicle in the Saturn family, a modified Saturn V without the S-IVB third stage used to launch the Skylab space station under the Apollo Applications Program. Standing 85.6 m tall with a 10.1 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 2,700 tonnes, it generated 35,100 kN of liftoff thrust. First flying in May 1973, this two-stage Saturn V launched the entire Skylab orbital workshop in a single piece, the heaviest single payload ever launched until the Starship programme.
