Mission Profile
The Saturn MLV-V-1A (Modified Launch Vehicle V-1A) was a proposed three-stage American super-heavy launch vehicle concept in the Saturn family, one of numerous Saturn V derivatives studied under the Apollo Applications Program for post-Apollo missions. Standing approximately 111 m tall with a 10.1 m core diameter, it would have featured modifications to the standard Saturn V stages. Conceived around 1965, the Saturn MLV-V-1A was part of an extensive study of Saturn V variants but was not pursued as NASA's post-Apollo ambitions were curtailed by budget cuts.
