Mission Profile

The Long March 3C (CZ-3C) is a three-stage Chinese launch vehicle in the Long March 2,3,4 family, a variant of the Long March 3B with two liquid strap-on boosters instead of four for moderate geostationary transfer orbit performance. Standing 54.8 m tall with a 3.4 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 345 tonnes, it generates 4,443 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 3,700 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in April 2008, the Long March 3C has launched BeiDou navigation satellites and other medium-weight geostationary payloads.
