Mission Profile

The Shtil' K (Shtil-K) was a proposed two-to-three-stage Russian small launch vehicle concept in the R-29 family, a land-based variant of the submarine-launched Shtil' converted for small satellite orbital delivery. Standing 14.8 m tall with a 1.8 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 40 tonnes, it would have been based on retired R-29 submarine-launched ballistic missiles. Conceived around 2010, the Shtil-K was studied as a low-cost small launcher but was not developed beyond the concept stage.
