Mission Profile
Scout X-2M is a four-stage solid-propellant launch vehicle in the Scout family, a variant of the Scout X-2 with minor motor and guidance modifications for improved mission reliability. First flying on 24 May 1962, it stood 22 meters tall and could deliver 59 kg to LEO. Scout X-2M served NASA and DoD small payload missions during the early 1960s as the Scout family was refined toward its mature production configuration.
