Mission Profile

The Energia Buran OK-92 (11K25, OK-092) was a proposed Soviet super-heavy launch vehicle concept in the Energia family, a later Buran orbiter variant studied for the Energia-Buran programme. Standing approximately 58.8 m tall with a 7.7 m core diameter and a projected liftoff mass of 2,400 tonnes, it would have generated 34,840 kN of thrust. Conceived around 1988, the OK-92 was one of several planned follow-on Buran orbiters that were never completed due to the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
