Mission Profile

The Vega-E Light (Vega-E Light configuration) is a proposed two-stage European launch vehicle concept in the Vega family, a reduced-performance variant of the Vega-E studied for lighter payloads and lower cost. Standing approximately 35 m tall with a 3.4 m core diameter, it would omit the solid first stage of the full Vega-E. With a speculative first flight around 2030, the Vega-E Light would expand the range of Vega-E configurations available to match a wider variety of European institutional and commercial missions.
