Mission Profile

The New Glenn (Blue Origin New Glenn, NG) is a two-stage American heavy-lift launch vehicle in the New Glenn family, Blue Origin's long-awaited orbital rocket featuring a reusable first stage powered by seven BE-4 methane/liquid oxygen engines. Standing 98 m tall with a 7 m diameter fairing and a liftoff mass of 1,500 tonnes, it generates 17,100 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 45,000 kg to low Earth orbit or 13,600 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in January 2025, the New Glenn successfully reached orbit on its maiden flight though the first-stage landing was not achieved, establishing Blue Origin as a major player in the heavy-lift launch market.
