Mission Profile

The Falcon 9 v1.0 (Falcon 9 Block 1) was a two-stage American launch vehicle in the Falcon 9 family, the original production version developed under the COTS programme for delivering Dragon cargo to the International Space Station. Standing 54.9 m tall with a 3.7 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 333.4 tonnes, it generated 4,940 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 9,300 kg to low Earth orbit or 3,400 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in June 2010, the Falcon 9 v1.0 successfully demonstrated SpaceX's orbital launch capability and launched the first commercial cargo mission to the ISS.
