Mission Profile
The Electron (standard) is a two-stage American-New Zealand small launch vehicle in the Electron family, a carbon-composite rocket using electric-pump-fed Rutherford engines designed for dedicated small satellite delivery. Standing 18 m tall with a 1.2 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 12.6 tonnes, it generates 224 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 300 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in May 2017, the Electron has become one of the world's most frequently launched small rockets, with Rocket Lab establishing itself as a leading dedicated small satellite launch provider operating from both New Zealand and Virginia.
