Mission Profile

The Energia Buran T (variant 1) (11K25) was a proposed Soviet super-heavy launch vehicle concept in the Energia family, a transport variant of the Energia-Buran system studied for heavy cargo delivery under the Buran programme. Standing approximately 58.8 m tall with a 7.7 m diameter and a projected liftoff mass of 2,400 tonnes, it would have generated 34,840 kN of thrust. Conceived around 1988, the Energia Buran T was one of several configurations studied to maximise the utility of the Energia launch system before the programme was cancelled with the collapse of the Soviet Union.
