Mission Profile

The SLS Block 2 Crew (2011 Concept) (Space Launch System Block 2 Crew) was a proposed two-stage American super-heavy launch vehicle concept in the SLS family, the ultimate evolution of the Space Launch System with advanced boosters for maximum beyond-Earth-orbit crew transport capability. Standing approximately 111 m tall with an 8.4 m core diameter and a projected LEO capacity of 130,000 kg, it represented the most capable SLS configuration envisioned. Conceived around 2011 under the Space Launch System programme, the Block 2 Crew concept has undergone significant design evolution as the SLS programme has matured.
