Mission Profile

The Delta II 7925-10L (Delta 7925-10L) was a three-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, a variant using a 10-foot (3 m) diameter composite payload fairing for larger but lighter payloads. Standing 39.7 m tall with a 2.4 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 232 tonnes, it generated 3,546 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 5,000 kg to low Earth orbit or 1,800 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in October 2006, the Delta II 7925-10L launched STEREO solar observation spacecraft and other NASA science missions requiring the larger fairing volume.
