Mission Profile

The Thor SLV2A Agena B (Thor SLV-2A Agena B, Thorax Agena B) was a two-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, pairing a Thor first stage with the restartable Agena B upper stage under the Thor IRBM Program. Standing 23.5 m tall with a 2.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 56 tonnes, it generated 758 kN of first-stage thrust. First flying in June 1963, the Thor SLV2A Agena B launched classified military reconnaissance and surveillance satellites into polar orbits.
