Mission Profile

The Titan 34D Transtage (Titan 34D/Transtage) was a three-to-four-stage American heavy-lift launch vehicle in the Titan family, pairing the powerful Titan 34D core with a Transtage restartable upper stage for flexible multi-payload delivery. Standing 47 m tall with a 3.1 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 626 tonnes, it generated 10,680 kN of liftoff thrust. First flying in January 1984, the Titan 34D Transtage launched classified military communications and early warning satellites into geosynchronous orbit.
