Mission Profile
The Atlas V Phase 3B (EELV Phase 3B) was a proposed two-stage American launch vehicle concept in the Atlas family, an advanced evolution of the Atlas V studied under the EELV programme for future capability growth. Standing approximately 58.3 m tall with a 3.8 m core diameter, it represented a potential upgrade path. Conceived around 2000, the Atlas V Phase 3B was part of early EELV planning for long-term evolution of the Atlas V system but was not pursued as a distinct variant.
