Mission Profile
The Vega-E (Vega Evolution, Vega Next Generation) is a proposed three-stage European launch vehicle in the Vega family, a major upgrade being developed under the ESA Vega Evolution Program to replace the Vega C with significantly increased performance and lower cost. Standing approximately 35 m tall with a 3.4 m core diameter and a projected liftoff mass of 210 tonnes, it would generate 3,738 kN of liftoff thrust and deliver 3,000 kg to low Earth orbit. With a speculative first flight around 2030, the Vega-E would feature a new liquid oxygen/methane upper stage, modernising Europe's small-to-medium launch capability.
