Mission Profile

The Titan II Star 37S/ISS (Titan II SLV with Star 37S/ISS) was a two-to-three-stage American launch vehicle in the Titan family, using refurbished Titan II ICBM cores with solid upper stages for military satellite delivery. Standing 33 m tall with a 3.1 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 154 tonnes, it generated 1,913 kN of liftoff thrust. First flying in April 1997, the Titan II Star 37S/ISS was one of the final variants to use retired Titan II missile hardware, launching DMSP weather satellites before the programme's stockpile was exhausted.
