Mission Profile

The Veronique NA (Véronique NA) was a single-stage French sounding rocket in the Veronique family, one of France's earliest liquid-fuelled research rockets and a cornerstone of the French space programme. Standing 6.2 m tall with a 0.6 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 1.06 tonnes, it generated 40 kN of thrust. First flying in February 1954 from Hammaguir in the Algerian Sahara, the Veronique NA conducted pioneering upper atmosphere research and established France as a leading European rocket nation.
