Mission Profile

The Starship B9/S25 through B11/S29 (Block 1 Starship, Block 1 Booster with Hot Stage) is a two-stage American super-heavy launch vehicle in the Starship family, the early production configuration of SpaceX's fully reusable launch system featuring hot-staging separation between Super Heavy booster and Starship upper stage. Standing 121 m tall with a 9 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 5,000 tonnes, it generates 74,000 kN of liftoff thrust and is designed to deliver 100,000 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in this configuration in November 2023 under the Starship programme, these vehicles demonstrated hot-staging, booster descent burns, and ship reentry, progressively advancing toward the goal of full reusability.
