Mission Profile

The Vector-R (Vector Rapid) was a proposed two-stage American microlauncher in the Vector family, designed for dedicated small satellite delivery with a very low launch mass. Standing 13 m tall with a 1.2 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 5.4 tonnes, it was designed for ultra-low-cost dedicated launches. Conceived around 2018, the Vector-R completed several suborbital test flights but Vector Launch filed for bankruptcy in 2019 before reaching orbit, and the programme was cancelled.
