Mission Profile

The Long March 6A (CZ-6A) is a two-stage Chinese launch vehicle in the Long March 6,7,8 family, featuring four solid strap-on boosters around a kerosene/liquid oxygen core for enhanced performance over the original Long March 6. Standing 50 m tall with a 3.4 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 530 tonnes, it generates 7,280 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 4,000 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in March 2022, the Long March 6A combines liquid and solid propulsion technologies in a hybrid configuration designed for commercial satellite constellation deployment.
