Mission Profile

The Long March 6 (CZ-6) is a three-stage Chinese light launch vehicle in the Long March 6,7,8 family, designed for rapid small satellite deployment using a new-generation kerosene/liquid oxygen engine. Standing 29.3 m tall with a 3.4 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 103 tonnes, it generates 1,188 kN of liftoff thrust and can deliver 1,080 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in September 2015, the Long March 6 demonstrated China's new-generation propulsion technology and has been used for commercial multi-satellite deployment missions.
