Mission Profile

The Veronique 61 (Véronique 61) was a single-stage French sounding rocket in the Veronique family, a late variant of France's pioneering liquid-fuelled research rocket series with improved performance. Standing 7.2 m tall with a 0.6 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 1.5 tonnes, it generated 44 kN of thrust. First flying in June 1964, the Veronique 61 was used for upper atmosphere research launches from Hammaguir in Algeria and later from Kourou, French Guiana.
