Mission Profile

The Zenit-3SLB (Zenit-3M) was a three-stage Ukrainian-Russian launch vehicle in the Zenit family, a land-based variant of the Zenit-3SL adapted for launch from Baikonur Cosmodrome rather than the Sea Launch ocean platform. Standing 59.6 m tall with a 3.9 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 473 tonnes, it generated 7,550 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 5,700 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in April 2008, the Zenit-3SLB provided a flexible medium-to-heavy-lift option for Russian government and commercial missions before operations ceased.
