Mission Profile

The Atlas V HLV Starliner (Atlas V Heavy Starliner) was a proposed two-stage American launch vehicle concept in the Atlas family, a triple-core Atlas V Heavy variant studied under the EELV programme for launching crewed Boeing Starliner missions. Standing approximately 58.3 m tall with a 3.8 m core diameter, it would have provided the additional lift capability needed for crew-rated missions. Conceived around 2014, the Atlas V HLV Starliner concept was ultimately not pursued as Boeing's Starliner was designed to fly on the standard dual-booster Atlas V N22 configuration instead.
