Mission Profile
The Falcon 9 Full Thrust (Falcon 9 v1.2, Falcon 9 Block 3) was a two-stage American launch vehicle in the Falcon 9 family, a major upgrade introducing subcooled propellants and an uprated Merlin 1D engine for significantly increased performance. Standing 70 m tall with a 3.7 m core diameter and a liftoff mass of 549 tonnes, it generated 7,607 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 22,800 kg to low Earth orbit or 8,300 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in December 2015, the Falcon 9 Full Thrust achieved the historic first successful orbital-class booster landing and launched the first reflown booster, revolutionising the economics of space launch.
