Mission Profile
The RVT (Reusable Vehicle Testing Project) was a proposed single-stage Japanese vertical takeoff and vertical landing technology demonstrator, developed by JAXA to study reusable launch vehicle concepts. Standing 4.5 m tall with a 0.7 m diameter, the RVT was a small liquid-hydrogen-powered test vehicle. Conceived around 2003, the RVT conducted several successful low-altitude hop tests that demonstrated VTVL capabilities, contributing to Japan's knowledge of reusable launch vehicle technology.
