Mission Profile

The Delta 2313 (Thor-Delta 2313) was a three-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, using three Castor II solid rocket augmentation motors for moderate first-stage thrust augmentation. Standing 35.4 m tall with a 2.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 145 tonnes, it generated 2,090 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 700 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in January 1974, the Delta 2313 was a mid-range variant used for smaller communications and meteorological satellite deployments.
