Mission Profile

The SL1 (Spacelines SL1) is a planned single-stage German suborbital launch vehicle in the HyImpulse family, a small rocket designed for microgravity research and technology demonstration flights. Standing 5.3 m tall with a 0.3 m diameter, it uses a novel paraffin-based hybrid propulsion system. With a planned first launch around 2027, the SL1 is being developed by HyImpulse Technologies as part of Germany's growing commercial space startup sector.
