Mission Profile
The Pegasus H (Pegasus Hybrid) was a three-to-four-stage American air-launched vehicle in the Pegasus family, a variant combining elements of the standard Pegasus and Pegasus XL designs. Standing 16.9 m tall with a 1.3 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 23.6 tonnes, it generated 726 kN of first-stage thrust and could deliver 450 kg to low Earth orbit. First and only flying in April 1995 from a modified L-1011 carrier aircraft, the Pegasus H launched the ORBCOMM-X communications technology demonstration satellite.
