Mission Profile

The Delta 1913 (Thor-Delta 1913) was a three-stage American launch vehicle in the Delta family, a configuration using nine Castor II solid rocket augmentation motors with the Delta second stage and a TE-364 third stage. Standing 35.4 m tall with a 2.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 130 tonnes, it generated 1,556 kN of liftoff thrust and could deliver 600 kg to geostationary transfer orbit. First flying in June 1973, the Delta 1913 served as a transitional variant in the Delta numbering system that evolved from the early Thor-Delta series.
