Mission Profile

The Zhuque-1 (ZQ-1, LandSpace-1, LS-1) was a three-to-four-stage Chinese solid-fuelled launch vehicle in the DF-26 derived family, one of the first orbital launch vehicles developed by a Chinese commercial space company. Standing 19 m tall with a 1.4 m diameter and a liftoff mass of 27 tonnes, it could deliver 300 kg to low Earth orbit. First flying in October 2018, the Zhuque-1's maiden launch by LandSpace ended in failure when the third stage malfunctioned, but the vehicle demonstrated the rapid progress of China's commercial launch sector.
